Dragon head - sculpt by TatharielCreations Dragon head - sculpt by TatharielCreations
This little dragon was created after watching way too many fantasy movies, waaay too little sleep and far too much daydreaming! :giggle:

It started out as a doodle-lump on my table, but after a bit of poking and messing around, it started to turn into a dragon, so I went with the flow!

Size:
Length - 3.3 inch (8.5 cm)
Width - 1.4 inch (3.5 cm)

You can view the WIP here: [link]

Hope you like it! :aww:

HIIIIII! It's Grim from .org!
I have to say that I am quite partial to dragons and this is AWESOME!
My wife got into dough sculpting some time ago and I'm trying to talk her into making stuff like this for me lol.

GREAT JOB!!!

Amazing! I wish I could "doodle" that well! What sort of clay do you use?

Thank you! :aww:
I mixed two types of clay! One part green premixed Fimo clay (yellow and blue tones). The other part was a translucent type. I got this from China, and unfortunately I don`t know the brand. It`s slightly more grainy and sticky :)

Thanks for that. I'm mostly working with PREMO or PREMO/Super Sculpey mixes at the moment but always open to fiddle with new stuff.

Thanks! :) I was a bit unsure if I wanted to give it color. (I find that it camouflages quite a bit of the sculpted details) But it was very fun to paint! I absolutely love working on/painting tiny tiny details :)

Thank you so much! The eye are actually only painted with acrylics. I haven`t even put any varnish on it. I premade a round eyeball, made a dent in it, cured it, and added it to the soft clay. Then after the whole piece was cured, I panted the iris and pupil. The i shaded it some to give it depth, and added a few tint veins :) You can`t even see them in the picture :giggle:
